Hyundai has 5 category finalists in AJAC’s Car of the Year Award

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has just released its list of finalists for the coveted Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year awards. Hyundai placed in four categories with five vehicles now up for the awards which will be announced at the end of February.

The Canadian Car of the Year program is Canada’s number one automotive award. It is handed out by some of the most experienced and well-known automotive journalists in Canada after a year of testing and a week of back-to-back evaluations at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Ontario.

Hyundai did particularly well in the mid-size utility vehicle category, ranking two models with the redesigned Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Santa Fe. The new Hyundai Santa Cruz also did well in the pickup category while the Hyundai Kona EV, the second-best selling electric vehicle in Canada, is a finalist in the EV category.

The winners will be announced on February 28 in partnership with the Canadian International Auto Show. Here is the full list of Hyundai category finalists:
